ACE Banquet

Group on a tour of the Gaillard Performance Hall.

On Friday, the ACE (Architecture. Construction. Engineering) Mentors of Greater Charleston held their 3rd annual ACE Banquet showcasing the work of ACE students during the 2013-2014 school year. The ACE program helps to mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. Students from Stall High School and St. John’s High School presented their end of year team projects to a captive audience which included keynote speaker David Minnagan, AIA, representatives from the Charleston County School District, and the southeast regional ACE director. At the end of the evening, $1,000.00 scholarships were awarded to Adan Hernandez of Stall High School, and Chris Burch of St. John’s High School, both of whom will be attending college in the fall and pursuing degrees in ACE related majors.

Jennifer Charzewski and Alison Dawson have been involved in the ACE program for the past two years!  More information on the program can be found here:http://www.acementor.org/
