Lisa Gerth, a native of Charleston, graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1985 and has been in the professional accounting field for over 25 years. She joined the Liollio team in October 2015. We recently sat down for a Q&A with one of our newest team members:

How long have you lived in Charleston?
My entire life, except for four years in college in Columbia SC.

Where did you grow up?
James Island

What area of town do you live in?
James Island

Are you married?
Yes

Do you have children?
Yes, two daughters.

What is the hardest part about being a mom/dad?
Watching your child in pain or suffering.

What is the greatest part about being a mom/dad?
Everything, best feeling in the world!

What is your favorite thing in your house?
A portrait of my mother.

What are the top three things you like to do in your free time?
Spend time with my family on the boat or beach, walk on the beach, and dine with friends.

Do you have any pets? If so, tell us a bit about them.
Yes, 2 dogs; a 9-year-old King Charles Cavalier and a 1 1Ž2-year-old American Bulldog/Lab.

Do you have any brothers/sisters?
Yes, one older sister.

The people, very family oriented.

Hardeeville Welcome Center Ground Breaking

Yesterday Jennifer Charzewski, Dan Corte, and Elissa Bostain traveled to Hardeeville for the Welcome Center ground breaking!  We are excited that construction has started.  The new facility should be open in the Fall of this year.

One is a 10-year-old male and the other one is a 1-year-old female. They have very different personalities, but they love each other. The 10-year-old one only likes men.

Wessex Capital Investments at 34 Broad Street

Liollio Architecture is currently teaming with Palmetto Construction Group on a 2nd Floor Upfit located at 34 Broad Street in historic downtown Charleston. The 8,000 SF office space will be the new home to Wessex Capital Investments and is scheduled for completion this Spring. Wessex Capital Investments is a leading private equity firm primarily investing in senior housing and commercial real estate. West Ashley Senior Center Community Forum

The West Ashley Senior Center Community Forum was held last Tuesday. The forum was an opportunity to share the design with the community and how their input from the pre-design community forum was incorporated.  The project has received both conceptual and preliminary DRB approvals.

New Hampton County Health Clinic Groundbreaking

Designing A City With Colleton High's Geo-Art Class

Principal Rick Bousquet spent the day, December 3rd, critiquing city planning projects at a Colleton High School Art-Geo Class. The class is a combination of Geometry and Art and consisted of sophomores and juniors. The students were tasked with designing a city, located between Walterboro and Charleston, using famous structures like Falling Water, Buckingham Palace, the Giza Pyramids, and art sculptures like The Thinker. The city grid was to have certain angles and the placement of the buildings needed to be relative to the grid and those angles. Overall, it was a lot of fun.
